Information For Applicants
Purpose - The aim of this residency is to encourage experimentation. Ideally, the artist would take this opportunity to create new work in response to the experience of 3 months in New York. VAPNY will try to involve each artist in the New York art scene through introductions and special projects.

Studio - VAPNYwill have the flexibility to choose from a variety of international art residency programs and other working situations that are available in New York. Artists will be placed specifically to suit their needs and interests. Provided by VAPNY at no cost to the artist. Available residencies:

Accommodation - The artist will live in their own self contained, furnished apartment with TV and internet access, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This will give the artist an opportunity to be part of this thriving young art scene. Provided by VAPNY at no cost to the artist.

Stipend - $1000 per month
VAPNY will reimburse round trip travel from Vietnam to New York to the value of $1100 and health insurance costs for the 3 month period to the value of $300.
Arrival / Departure - We will pick up and drop off the artist at the airport and arrange welcoming and farewell parties.
Selection of Artists
Completed applications will be received at Mai’s Gallery, HCMC. After the application deadline has passed, they will mail all of the applications to New York for selection.
